ERC Goal to Expand the Economic Pie

The Nevada County Economic Resource Council is striving to grow opportunities that will economically benefit all aspects of the county. The challenge is to do so without hurting existing companies. Executive Director Jon Gregory says that a zero-sum growth equation is not a positive outcome.

At the ERC Board Meeting Thursday morning Gregory explains the idea of growing the economic pie by selling to markets outside of Nevada County.

Gregory likened it to growing from a medium pie to a large pie without reducing the number of slices, or the size of a slice.
