Escaped Parolee Found Quickly by Police

A parolee escaped from the hospital was short lived. Grass Valley Police Captain Rex Marks says officers began searching for Gary Montano when he reportedly walked away from the hospital after being in intensive care for several weeks. The Captain said the man still had medical equipment in his arm when he fled.

Montano was found a short distance from the hospital and returned to the care of medical staff. Captain Marks says Montano was in the hospital after he injested glass from his own eye glasses. Moreno was facing a parole violation when he was hospitalized.
