About This Event
Before you vote, see what women built. Saving Walden's World is an award-winning documentary headed to PBS. It follows women-led solutions in Kerala, Cuba and Slovenia, where literacy, healthcare and reproductive freedom built stable, equitable communities that don't depend on endless growth. The film has screened at 23 international festivals and won 14 awards. After the film, director Jim Merkel holds a live Q&A, followed by a sustainability social in downtown Nevada City (location TBA). Free and open to the public. Note: this is in the Community Room adjacent to the main library.
