Evicted Tenant Wields Bat at Landlord

A tenant who was about to be evicted had a run in with the Manager and wound up going to jail. Nevada City Police officer Shane Franssen says officers were called to a trailer park in the 800 block of Zion St.last Tuesday September 23rd on a report of an assault.

Neighbors and the manager told police the suspect was 55 year old Albert Gibson,-Albert1Gibson and police issued a Be On the Lookout notice to local law enforcement for Gibson. Last night (Thursday 9/25) Police got another call.

Gibson fled and police eventually made a traffic stop on him in the Fowler Center in Grass Valley. He was taken into custody on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily injury and his bail was set at $25,000. Officer Franssen says the Manager is recovering from his injuries.
