Expanded Film Festival Kicks Off Thursday Night

Get ready for an infusion of people into Nevada City. The 17th Annual Nevada City Film Festival gets underway with a kickoff party this evening (Thursday), and a full schedule of events starting tomorrow. The festival has expanded this year from four days to seven, and will feature a film about Bill Nye the Science Guy on Monday. There’s a kickoff party this evening at the Stone House in Nevada City, featuring what they are calling a ‘not-so-silent film’ ‘A Trip to the Moon’.
