Expired Tags Lead to Drug Arrest

A Grass Valley woman pulled over for not having a valid drivers license and registration ended up with a trip to jail. Nevada County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Paul Schmidt says a deputy made a vehicle stop around 9 o’clock Tuesday night.

The license plate also had tags that expired in 2011, and it turned out that the driver, 49 year-old Jennifer Rose, had an expired license. The deputy then asked Rose if he could search the car.

Hydrocodone is a pain reliever–a generic form of Vicodin. Rose was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on 10-thousand dollars bail.
