“Explosive” Argument Leads to Arrest

A Grass Valley man is in custody after an argument with his wife allegedly got out of hand and he threatened her with some drastic action. Grass Valley Sgt Steve Johnson says that the women was so frightened she ran to a neighbors house to report the incident just after 6 PM Monday. The officer made contact with the women at the neighbors residence.

The officer interviewed the suspect, Patrick Franks, 46 of Grass Valley and also located the propane tank. Franks was taken into custody for making criminal threats towards his wife and subsequently booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
