Hundreds of “food insecure” Nevada County families are benefitting from a one-time event designed to improve the availability of fresh produce. The debut of a new program, sponsored statewide by the Raley’s supermarket chain, called “Food for Families”, is took place at Interfaith Food Ministry in Grass Valley Friday morning. IFM Exective Director, Sue Van Son, says the store is hosting a Farmer’s Market for roughly 200 of their client families.
