Fair C-E-O Rea Callender says just come to the Gate 1 parking lot between 1 and 6pm. And while you get two-for-one tickets to the fair with donations, Fair Manager Patrick Eidman says you get an even better deal if you give blood…
New this year, the Foothill Lions Club will be doing free vision screenings from local optometrists. Non-profits accepting donations will be the Food Bank-bring four cans of food for your free ticket, you can donate an old hearing aid or pair of glasses to the Foothill Lions, Nevada County 2-1-1 is taking new, unopened toiletries including soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and toilet paper. NEO can use paper and paint supplies, the Story Club is taking two new or slightly used children’s books, Community Beyond Violence is taking gift cards from businesses, and the Cinderella Project would like clean semi-formal or prom dresses. Again, you can drop the items off from 1 to 6pm in the Gate 1 parking lot at the Fairgrounds.
