One of the Nevada County Fairgrounds Foundation largest and the most delicious fundraisers took place over the weekend. The Third Annual Cioppino Feeddrew a sold out crowd of 175 guests that were treated to Fairgrounds Chef Arnie Romanello’s homemade shellfish Cioppino. Fairgrounds Foundation President, Ed Merten, said the the event helps to fund a number of efforts at the Fairgrounds.

Merten says the Foundation has contributed to new facilities as well as emergency maintenance to existing facilities to be sure the fair continues to exist every year.

Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal took the night off in order to support the Foundation and enjoy some good food.
