Fairgrounds to ‘Paint Town Pink’

Women from all over the county will be at the Fairgrounds tonight (and some men will be there too), for the ninth annual ‘Paint the Town Pink’. It’s an expo featuring food, beverages, vendors, a silent auction and more. The pink is for breast cancer awareness, and organizer Mary Anne Davis says a new item this year is a cancer survivor makeover…

There will also be a ‘Haute Trash’ (hot trash) fashion show featuring models wearing clothing out of recycled materials (KNCO’s Rita Stevens will be one of the models). Co-organizer Julia Stinham says the event raises money for the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation

It’s at the Fairgrounds from 5 to 8pm. Tickets are available at the door.
