The Annual Falling Leaves Run went off without a hitch Saturday morning. Race Director John Fairchild says that proceeds for the run go to support Nevada City Schools.

Earlier in the week smoke from the King Fire has led to the cancellation of other outdoor athletic events and it was a concern until an act of mother nature brought a different concern.

Fairchild said that with the potential cancellation from smoke and the late night rain, it was possible runners may not show, but that did not turn out to be the case

The Falling Leaves Fun Run generates between two and three thousand dollars for the Foundation each year.
The Run is the 9th of 11 Gold Country Grand Prix events.
