Falls prevention workshop for Seniors next Week.

Taking a fall for a senior can mean a trip to the emergency room and often surgery and a stay in the hospital.  Nevada County Falls Prevention Coalition Coordinator Cynthia Schuetz  says in 2010, the latest statistics available, 1,300 Nevada County seniors went to the ER because of a fall and 400 of those were admitted to the hospital  for treatment.  She says the home can be full of risks for a fall.
