The Nevada County Health and Human Services Agency has identified the replacement for former  Public Health Officer, Dr. Karen Milman. Agency Director, Jeffery Brown, says Dr. Kenneth Cutler will return half-time to the position he once held in 2003-04.

Dr. Cutler is currently serving in the same role as Public Health Officer in two smaller counties as well which includes: Sierra and Trinity. Cutler  Cutler effectively becomes the Health Officer on Monday providing Holiday coverage throughout December and will increase hours beginning in January.

Jefferey Brown says that Nevada County is fortunate to have Cutler returning to the position and that the director will focus on three areas beginning in January.
