Family Arguement Leads to Stabbing

A family argument between mother and son escalated to a physical confrontation and eventually a non-lethal stabbing. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call on Torrey Pines Road Monday night (Nov. 12) to find an injured 31 year old male sitting on the front steps of the residence.

The woman fled the residence and the son called the sheriff. While talking to the injured man, deputies heard the mother yelling from within the house. After talking with the suspect, Brenda Lou Gildea, deputies determined she was under the influence and took action.
