Farm to Table in Local Schools

This is tasting week in Nevada County schools. Sierra Harvest Farm to school coordinator Amanda Thibodeau explains their goal is to introduce children to nutritious and good tasting foods.

Farm-to-School-2Over twenty chefs will be coming to school to cook during tasting week. These chefs, like Liam Blackmon, volunteer their time to come into the classroom and share their passion for delicious fresh, local food.

Farm-to-School-3This is the third year of tasting week and this time 2,500 kids in 19 different schools will get to participate.
