Farmers Market Season To Start

Get ready to get those fruits and vegetables. Farmers Market season begins this weekend. The Nevada County Certified Growers Market opens its doors at the Historic North Star House on Auburn Road tomorrow. Aleta Barrett is President of the Nevada County Growers Association board, and is also a grower herself. She says you’ll find all kinds of good items this time of year…

There are several other farmers markets in the area, but most open in June or July. The Nevada County Certified Growers Market will be open from 8am to 12:30pm, and every Saturday into November.
