Fatal Accident On Highway 20

A fatal accident on Highway 20 near the Omega Rest Area. CalFire dispatcher Chelsea Fox says the crash happened around 11:30 this morning–the initial report was a vehicle into a tree.

Fox says units were there quickly, but one person could not be saved.

Fox says the other person was in critical condition, and airlifted to a hospital. Highway 20 was closed at the rest area for a time. Names and ages of the victims are not available. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
