Fatal Accident on Purdon Road

The CHP says the driver of a car involved in a fatal accident would likely have walked away if he was wearing a seat belt. CHP Public Information Officer Dina Hernandez says the accident happened on Purdon Road Sunday afternoon. 52 year old Steve Talbot lost control of his 1999 GMC for a unknown reason. Officer Hernandez says the vehicle went over the embankment and rolled several time.

The CHP is still investigating the events that lead up to the accident. A passenger in the car was wearing his seat belt and walked away from the accident without serious injury. The initial information says the driver may have been under the influence when the accident happened.
