The driver responsible for the fatal accident on Highway 49 Monday night has been released from the hospital. CHP Public Information Officer Marc Morrison says the 18-year-old driver of the Toyota pickup was released from Sutter Roseville Hospital. Officer Morrison says they have a initial statement from the driver that he was tired.

The 35-year-old driver of the Chevrolet Tahoe was killed in the accident. A 29-year-old passenger remains in Sutter Roseville Hospital in stable condition. The CHP investigation has shown that the two vehicles collided at almost 120 miles an hour. A one-year-old child was properly restrained in a car seat and was not injured.
