Fatal Motorcycle in Truckee

A Nevada man was killed on his motorcycle in the Truckee area, Saturday morning. CHP Public Information Officer Pete Mann says a 2004 Ford pickup driven by 30 year old Brian Berdofski of Citrus Heights was passing slow traffic, with 56 year old Mark Steffy of Crystal Bay Nevada riding his motorcycle right behind the pickup. Officer Mann says both  drivers had crossed the double yellow line when the pickup turned left into the Pacific Rim parking lot on State Highway 267.

Alcohol is not suspected in this accident. The accident ejected Steffy off the motorcycle causing the fatal injures. The accident remains under investigation.
