A violent high speed crash where a vehicle left the road and crashed into multiple objects has resulted in the death of a 43 year old woman. Grass Valley CHP Officer Greg Tassone says the crash occurred at 12:15 this morning in the Banner Mountain Area.
As the female driver was traveling westbound on Butterfly Drive approaching Redwood Place the vehicle left the road onto private property, striking a utility power pole, multiple trees, a part of a house and garage, struck a parked camper and a truck and a sedan that were parked by the camper. At some point the BMW had also overturned.
The Damage to the electric wires caused several small spot fires to begin in the surrounding area. Cal Fire responded and they were quickly extinguished.
The Driver has been identified as 43 year old Amanda Taylor, her current city of residence is unknown, but she is formerly from Nevada City.
