Federal Coronavirus Funds For Local Health Centers

More federal coronavirus response funding has arrived for two Nevada County health centers. Strom says many residents don’t have internet service available, due to geographic challenges. The grant money, announced by local congressman Doug LaMalfa, comes from recent passage of the so-called CARES Act, which stands for Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security‚Ķ

Meanwhile, Western Sierra Medical Clinic has received a total of 772-thousand dollars for similar technical help, as well as enhancement of prevention efforts.
