Dent says there are some fairly strict eligibilty restrictions. Recipients must be 65 or older, or between 60 and 64 who have either tested positive or been exposed to Covid-19….
That’s about 75-thousand dollars a year for a single person in Nevada County, or 101-thousand for a two-income household. Dent says meal delivery began yesterday (Tuesday) to about 25 people, and food will be provided from three different restaurants…
Anyone interested in eligibility information, or to sign up, can dial 2-1-1. The program is primarily funded through the CARES Act, the federal stimulus bill. It will expire on June 10 unless extended by the federal government.
