Fewer Measles Exclusions At Nevada Co School

Blake says she doubts many more of the remaining number of students will be able to return earlier than the original April 8th stay-at-home date, that most likely did not get shots, mainly due to personal belief exemptions. And they are not impacted by the new state law banning most exemptions, if they received the exemption before the law went into effect in January. But they would have to be vaccinated when entering seventh grade. Blake says her department continues to get questions about measles, so they’ve posted on their website answers to frequently asked questions. That includes a reported second case in the state…

The Health Department has either contacted or attempted to contact all families of the excluded students.
