The tractor trailer was driven by Bill Brown, 28 of Penn Valley .   Brown received just minor injuries when he climbed out of the tractor to escape the fire.
The vehicles burned down to metal and started a 2 acre grass fire  on the shoulder of highway 20.  Fire officials had the fire out within 40 minutes.  Highway 20  was closed in both directions   between Ponderosa Road and the Brighton Street over crossing for more than 2 hours   while both the fire and the accident scene were cleared.
