Fire and Water Safety Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend is often the kick off of summer with outdoor activities. However Acting Battalion Chief Jerry Funk with Nevada County consolidated fire Department wants to remind you to be careful with fire and water.

In California drowning is the leading cause of death among children under 14. and every year fire departments respond to water rescues, many of which tragically claim lives of both adults and children.
