Fire at NUHS Thursday Night

A fire at Nevada Union High School Thursday night. Grass Valley Fire Chief Mark Buttron tells KNCO the call came in around 11:30 PM.

Responding crews discovered a fire burning near one the gymnasiums on campus.

Buttron says the fire was burning in an area approximately 30 by 60 feet.

As a result of the quick response damage was limited.

No cause of the fire has not been determined.

The call initiated a standard structure fire response.

Units were on scene for about 90 minutes during cleanup and were released just after 1:00 AM.
