Fire At Truckee Landmark

An historic building in Truckee has been damaged by fire, but it doesn’t seem to be a total loss.  Firefighters battled a blaze at the White House Restaurant on Donner Pass Road early Thursday morning. Truckee Fire Protection District spokesman Paul Spencer says the cause is still under investigation, but the fire started in the back of the building…

The building was recently remodeled, but was built in 1874. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
