Fire Burns Modular Home in South County

Nevada County Consolidated Fire Division Chief Jerry Funk says firefighters were called to a home in the 18-thousand block of Retrac Way in the south county Saturday afternoon after the residents of the home called to report their house on fire*

The three people in the home and their pets got out safely but the modular home received extensive damage.*

Firefighers from Consolidated, Higgins Fire and Cal Fire responded to the blaze. The cause is still under investigation but is believed to be tied to the water heater or Furnace.  No one was injured.
