Fire Contained To Garage Lake of the Pines

Fire has destroyed a detached garage in Lake of the Pines. It happened late Friday morning on Torrey Pines Drive, according to Cal Fire Captain Scott Eckman….

But Eckman says no significant amount of vegetation was scorched and the home was also not damaged…

Over 50 firefighters, including from a number of area departments, responded to the blaze. Eckman says there were reports of an explosion being heard just prior to the start of the fire, but the cause is not known at this time.
