Fire Danger Still High In Nevada and Surrounding Counties

Just because we got some rain last weekend, doesn’t mean we’re out of the woods yet when it comes to fire danger.

Lightning strikes are a cause of some fires in the forest, but most of the fires are human caused. Tahoe National Forest Spokesperson Gwen Enrst-Ulrich says a multi-agency campaign “One Less Spark, One Less Fire” is focused on fire prevention on forest lands.
