Fire In Butte Co At Least 2500 Acres One Arrest

The Ponderosa Fire, near Feather Falls in Butte County, has now grown to at least 2500 acres since it began Tuesday afternoon. And one arrest has been made. 10 homes and 20 outbuildings have been destroyed, with another 5 homes and 10 outbuildings damaged. Containment is still zero. Rahn also urges residents to obey evacuation orders promptly, which allows crews to access a fire more quickly and effectively, without worrying about someone possibly being trapped inside a home.
