Fire in Grass Valley House Extinguished Quickly

Multiple fire agencies responded to a single story house fire near East Main Street and Hughes Road in Grass Valley yesterday (Sunday).

Fire did not spread beyond the one room as firefighters made an aggressive attack as soon as they arrived..

A family had been living in the home but  were in the process of moving out when the fire got started. Smith says there were no injuries, and the cause is still under investigation.

Units from Calfire, Nevada County Consolidated Fire District, Grass Valley and Nevada City Fire all joined in the effort to put out the fire.
