Fire Near Colfax

A fire burning near Colfax is slowly coming under control. the fire broke out at approximately 1:20 PM in the Iowa hill area. According to Captain John Hotchkiss the fire has grown from 10 to 20 acres.*

Over 15 engines and crews are responding as well as air-tac and two tankers. The terrain is a challenge.

The cause of the fire is unknown. No estimated time of containment at this time.
