Fire Near North San Juan Contained

A small vegetation fire burning on Highway 49 near North San Juan has been contained now. CalFire Captain Jeff Fuentes tells KNCO the call came in a minute before 11 o’clock this morning…

The fire is on the south side of the highway, about a mile north of the South Yuba River Bridge. Highway 49 has been closed in both directions, but the roadway is now open. No structures were damaged.
