Fire on East Dr. Displaces Homeowner

Firefighters responded to a call in the 10,000 block of East Dr. for a reported house fire Thursday night. Grass Valley Fire Department Battalion Chief Steve Smith says the call came in at 9 p.m.

The fire had actually vented through the roof before firefighters arrived . Crews were able to make a quick interior attack and held the fire to the attic area.

There were no injuries and firefighters were on scene for just over 2 hours doing mop up.
