Goodspeed suggests people use the fireworks on a paved surface with a bucket of water close by. Lately most people have been gathering in the parking lot at Searls Avenue and Argall for a joint party to set off fireworks.

Even though Safe and Sane Fireworks are legal to use in Nevada City there is no where to buy they in Nevada City, and that means people would have to transport them from out of the area.   That is actually against the law in the County according to Nevada County Deputy Fire Marshall Terry McMahan.
