First Bond In 14 Years In NJUHSD Moving Forward

Johnson says the survey will also determine how much property owners are willing to pay. But although only 55-percent approval is now needed, thanks to voters approving Proposition 39, she says there are also restrictions on the value of such a bond. A financial adviser will be hired next month to do the research. Johnson says, depending on the results, the District Board of Trustees will likely call for the bond election at their June 16th meeting, which is near the deadline for placing measures on the November ballot.
