First Court Appearance For Murder Suspect

Newell says Schulller is currently charged with two counts: first-degree murder, with a special allegation of discharging a firearm, and evading an officer. According to complaint documents that have been released by the District Attorney’s Office, Schuller allegedly shot William Tackett at least 13 times Sunday night and then lit the body on fire. He then reportedly fled in a vehicle from Tackett’s home, on Banner View Drive, and was arrested in Sacramento after a high speed chase…

Officers say Schuller had been staying at Tackett’s home periodically.
