First Medical Marijuana Panel Meeting Ready

There’s been lots of controversy and talk about Nevada County’s ‘Community Advisory Group’ to draft a medical marijuana ordinance, but now the 16-member panel is ready to get to work. The group will also decide when and where future meetings will be held. Powers says the consulting firm M-I-G, which was hired as the facilitator, will run the meetings, and there will be no electing of a chair, or anything like that…

The meeting is open to the public, and there is a brief public comment period on the agenda. The meeting is from 2 to 5pm at the Foothill Events Center on Idaho Maryland Road in Grass Valley.
