After being stationed at Beale for more than three decades, the KC-135 unit was re-aligned by the Air Force Ralignment and Closure Commission. The stratotankers can re-fuel any aircraft, except the U-2’s. Hazelwood says the return also brings significant economic benefits, with an eventual increase of 300 jobs…

Hazelwood says the exact monetary increase has not been calculated yet. She says the other 7 tankers are expected to arrive over the next 6 months.
