First Week Feedback Following Reopening of Economy

Masks came off for fully vaccinated California residents, and social distancing and capacity limits are a thing of the past in most businesses. In downtown Grass Valley, merchants have had mixed results since June 15th, but one business, Lazy Dog Confections, has thrived throughout the pandemic and business got better last week.

Element and Loft has also seen an increase in business as restrictions have lifted.*

However, at Tess’s Kitchen, a decline in business was anticipated as a result of the timing of the reopening.

Regarding masks, most businesses are asking people to self select.

Overall though, there has been a a sense of relief since June 15th.
