The recovery of a stolen vehicle and equipment led Placer County authorities to the discovery of what they called a dangerous butane honey oil lab, marijuana, weapons and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Arrests have been made. Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Dena Erwin says a big rig, flatbed trailer, and bulldozer, worth around 600-thousand dollars, had been stolen Saturday, reportedly from a storage yard in Rancho Cordova…
Erwin says the truck and trailer were found on that property, Sunday night, but not the bulldozer. Then Monday, a tip led authorities to a property in Iowa Hill, where two stolen trailers were recovered…
At that property, three assault weapons, one with a silencer, and evidence of the drug lab were found. Officers seized 30 pounds of processed marijuana and more than 17 other guns, along with the ammunition. The bulldozer stolen from Rancho Cordova, a Can-Am side-by-side utility vehicle, another bulldozer, several stolen trailers, and two stolen Bobcat tractors were also recovered, among other equipment, with a total value of over 800-thousand dollars.
