Fleeing Suspect was Armed

The suspect arrested by the Nevada County Sheriff in Grass Valley after a car chase and gunshot this morning ran from his disabled vehicle and brandished a firearm as he sought cover of a building.  Sheriff Keith Royal unravels this morning’s activity following the pursuit.

After fingerprints came back negative for Glen Godwin, the suspect was subsequently identified as Christopher Lang 45, who coincidentally was also a fugitive wanted in the State of Nevada.  Lang will face charges related to this morning’s chase and arrest and will eventually be returned to the State of Nevada where he will face additional escape charges.
