The Food Bank had their Easter distribution yesterday, and the United Way in conjunction with Interfaith Food Ministry will be having theirs tomorrow. The second Saturday of each month is Food Access Saturday, but this will be the first one affected by the coronavirus outbreak. United Way of Nevada County Executive Director Megan Timpany says they’ll have to do the distribution a little differently this time…
The distribution is at Interfaith tomorrow from 10am to noon. Timpany says the new rules will make the event less personal, which will be difficult for them…
Some hams will be given out along with the normal fresh produce and other items. Since the Food Access Saturday program began three years ago, United Way says they’ve given out over 73-hundred bags of food to over 33-hundred individuals.
