Food Distribution Continues on San Juan Ridge

It started as an emergency measure back in December, but the North Gold Senior Mountaineers are continuing to work with the Food Bank of Nevada County to bring a monthly food distribution to North San Juan. The Food Bank stopped delivering the food to the Ridge because of safety concerns, but North Gold Senior Mountaineers board member Ana Acton says many volunteers sprung into action…

The Center can then distribute that food to people who need it. The monthly distribution is now being called the Ridge Food Rally, and serves close to 300 people a month. Acton says they are committed to keep the food distributions going…
