The majestic Foresthill Bridge in Placer County is getting a makeover…

Placer County Senior Civil Engineer Kevin Ordway says the bumpers would catch it and keep the bridge on top of the piers. Trails under the bridge are closed today and tomorrow (Monday and Tuesday) while they work on the downstream side of the Auburn side of the American River. Ordway says they’ll close the trails again March 25 and 26 to work on the Foresthill Side…

The road will be closed from 8am to 3:30pm on those days. Provisions have been made for emergency vehicles.
