Former CHP Officer in Jail

A former veteran CHP officer is in the Nevada County jail for alleged sexual acts with a minor. Truckee CHP  Commander Captain Timothy Malone says the moment the allegations surfaces they began taking action. The Captain says when the Sierra County Child Protective services could not develop enough evidence for criminal charges, the CHP and Sierra County Sheriff started their investigation.

46 year old Robert Holland’s home in Loyalton was searched by CHP investigators and he was taken into custody for suspicion of sexual acts involving a minor, and booked at the Nevada County jail in Truckee. During the booking process Holland resigned his position as a CHP officer. The Captain says any time a serious allegation is brought a employee it will be investigated. Holland remains in custody with bail set at one hundred thousand dollars.
