Former Food Bank Director Thompson Dies

Nevada County has lost a force for good in the community. Former Food Bank of Nevada County Executive Director Toni Thompson has died. Thompson was with the Food Bank for over 20 years, and retired just less than a year ago….

That was Toni on KNCO Insight in October of last year. Thompson was most well-known and best remembered to us for the annual KNCO Turkey Drive, which thanks to our listeners brought in hundreds of turkeys every year. Thompson passed away over the weekend after an undisclosed illness. She was 66.
